Guardio is a B2C cybersecurity startup offering security and privacy solutions directly to consumers - regular people, not corporate companies. We develop products you’d want for yourself, your parents, family, and friends. Our goal is to protect real people from cyber problems and crime. We try and avoid buzzwords, but sometimes those keywords are necessary: we help our customers avoid and combat the modern world’s security threats, like phishing, financial scams, malware, browser hijacking, identity theft, data leaks, and a whole lot more.

Guardio is a relatively small company (we just passed 70 people) on a rapid growth path, and we’re looking for core team members to join our team. We already have well over a million registered customers and plenty of new products and features in the pipeline.

So, what's the job?

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join Guardio’s Data Team. As our Data Engineer, you will be responsible for best-practice architecture and modeling implementation, ownership over the Data team tool stack, and overseeing complex data processes and their performance.

You will:

  • Take technical ownership over the team’s data stack, and be responsible for new tool implementations.
  • Plan and oversee data modeling architecture. Define and code pipelines, timing, and data-flows to ensure optimal data access, while minimizing latency.
  • Develop and improve core data processes. ETL tooling improvements, external API data fetching, close work with analysts to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with various teams, including Product, R&D, and Finance. Solve technical challenges in a cross-functional environment.

Sounds great! Am I the right fit?

Well, our guess is you have a good chance of being that person if you check as many of these as possible:

  • 5+ years experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Very high level of SQL and data warehouse modeling.
  • Experience with ETLs and data pipelines
  • Experience with Cloud platforms such as GCP / AWS / Azure.
  • Experience with modern Columnar databases: BigQuery / Snowflake / Redshift.
  • Working experience with BI tools and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with different teams.
  • Knowledge in Python - An advantage.
