Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for an amazing Team Lead for a leading role with a growth opportunity!

Databand (an IBM company) is the leading data observability platform for modern enterprises that's built by engineers for engineers.

Our mission is to help organizations build better data products and trust in their data. We do that by providing data teams comprehensive visibility into the health of their data pipelines using our SDK and complex monitoring and impact detection platform. Thanks to our deep monitoring they can gain confidence in their quality data and respond proactively to new issues.

As a Team Lead In Databand, You Will

• Effectively manage, lead, and mentor a team of 3-6 engineers, while sharing knowledge and supporting them to develop their careers.
• Collaborate closely with product and design to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product that adds significant value to our customers.
• Spearhead the development of an outstanding SaaS and On-Prem application designed for Data Engineers, dedicated to monitoring data reliability issues within their data pipelines.
• Lead the design and architecture of a highly scalable, write-intensive system, specializing in monitoring cutting-edge big data technologies.
• Work together with your fellow leaders and manager within a stream-aligned team, emphasizing clear business KPIs.
• Uphold and nurture an exceptional inclusive engineering culture that prioritizes the attainment of business objectives within a cutting-edge technology environment.
• Skillfully identify and eliminate bottlenecks that hinder project progress.
  
  
  

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Proven Experience in a leadership position within an R&D team.
• Extensive experience in backend engineering, working on SaaS production systems.
• Excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills, able to build and inspire successful teams.
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to extract high-level goals, translate them into technical projects, and guide the team members throughout execution.
• A business-oriented mindset, demonstrated through your ability to grasp the value of the features you work on and make informed technological decisions to achieve that value.
• Passionate about technology, committed to learn continuously in order to improve in your area of expertise.
• Proficiency in
• developing Python or other object-oriented programming languages.
• handling extensive SQL databases and effectively resolving challenging performance issues.
• Previous involvement in developing SaaS applications adhering to high industry standards for CI/CD processes and development cycles.
