Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js)

Location: Rehovot

As a Platform Senior Backend Engineer in the “IAM Access & Trust” squad, you’ll have the opportunity to have a significant impact on fraud prevention and access management in a global company that helps millions of students around the world.

We achieve this by truly understanding the needs of our customers, diving deep into technologies, and providing resilient, scalable, maintainable solutions.

Who You Are

• You have proven fundamentals in computer science and previous experience building backend services at scale.
• You have a passion for platform services and APIs as a product.
• Node is practically your second language. Ideally in TypeScript!
• You are also proficient in building backend technologies in Java/C# or Python.
• You have experience designing, implementing and scaling cloud-native software on providers like AWS or GCP.
• You are comfortable working collaboratively with engineers across the globe.
• You have a growth mindset, curious and not afraid to be experimental. You share your ideas and continuously improve yourself and the team around you.
• You are passionate about engineering practices like agile, continuous delivery, test-driven development, observability and reliability
• The position is for 6 months with an option.
  
  

What You Will Do

• Design and build resilient, scalable and maintainable solutions using Node.JS and Java, AWS and more.
• Participate in critical technical, and product discussions with leaders across our engineering, product and business teams.
• Lead by example, without authority, while showcasing best design/communication/solution practices in personal work items.
• Mentor younger engineers
