About the position:

As the Data Engineering Team Leader at SupPlant, you will play an important role in shaping our data & AI strategy and ensuring the reliable and efficient AI models flow within our organization. You will lead the data engineers’ team, overseeing the development, maintenance, and optimization of our data infrastructure, pipelines, and ML solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of data engineers, and other AI professionals. With collaboration with the Data scientists' team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product, engineering, and sales, to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design and develop data pipelines and infrastructure to support the team’s work. Work with cloud platform (AWS), big data technologies, and machine learning frameworks.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data and AI and share knowledge with the team.
• Defining the team’s technical vision and strategy, in cooperation with the data scientists' team.
• Responsible for management of the agile squad as a scrum master

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a related field, such as computer science, data science, or statistics.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and/or MLOps
• Proven experience as a team leader, and ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), big data technologies, and machine learning frameworks.
• Experience with MLOps tools and processes
• Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models at scale.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think strategically and solve problems.
• Passion for data and AI
• Experience as scrum master - advantage
