What will you be doing?

As a Data Engineer, you will be reporting to our VP Data & Risk. You will work closely with the backend team and with business and analytical teams to plan, design, and implement the newly built data infrastructure as well as needed dashboards and tools. 

• Help build Viably’s data platform, designing and implementing data solutions for all application requirements
• Work closely with the development team to maintain and expand Viably’s data infrastructure and needs
• Build all data-platform ingestion layers from all applications
• Help design and build analytic data layers for all business and reporting needs
• Build needed dashboards and reports for all business needs

What kind of skills are we looking for?

• 2-3 years of prior experience as a data engineer or data infrastructure engineer
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent field of study
• Excellent SQL skills 
• Experience with building large-scale data infrastructures
• Experience with Python, Apache Spark, AWS, K8s, Kafka
• Experience with data solutions like SnowFlake, Redshift, Redis, Big Query, etc.
• Experience in data modeling, BI solutions development (DWH, ETL) 
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment while providing solutions for complex business requirements
• Ability to work independently and learn new technologies
• Ability to work in an office environment
