We are actively seeking a dedicated and motivated Data Engineering Team Lead to bolster one of our pivotal teams. What You'll Do:
- Develop deep expertise in data and implement controls to maintain data privacy, security, compliance, quality, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with the DevOps infrastructure team to diagnose and resolve issues
- Design and implement data lake and data warehouse strategies and roadmaps
- Independently conceive, develop, and deploy new data transformations
- Lead and manage a data team, ensuring high performance and creating a positive and effective work environment
- Oversee and enhance existing processes with minimal supervision
- Execute the deployment of our new data pipeline, which incorporates cutting-edge technologies
Requirements:
- 3+ years of proven experience as a team lead or similar leadership role in a data-focused environment
- 5+ years of proven experience as a data engineer
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex ETL, Data Pipelines, and SQL queries
- Experience at AWS cloud platform and its data lake formation and stack: S3, Airflow, Glue, EMR, Redshift, RDS, EC2, VPC
- Strong knowledge of Spark and Presto/Trino
- Strong knowledge of modern data warehousing and data lake solutions like Delta Lake and Redshift
- Coding proficiency in Python programming languages
- Proven experience in data streaming technologies, including Kafka and Kinesis
- Proficiency in English at a high-intermediate level
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to distill and convey data-driven insights
Advantages:
- Familiarity with Databricks or Snowflake
- Familiarity with JavaScript or GoLang programming languages
