Join Our Data Experience - Platform Team

Our team (DX) owns and operates the Big Data systems that collect process and aggregate Akamai network metrics. We provide services for the rest of Akamai DX engineering groups and strives to accelerate development, reduce operational costs and provide common secured services .

Make a difference in your own way

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and maintain our CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes infrastructure and release management strategies. You will contribute to the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our software delivery processes, ensuring seamless deployments and enhanced developer productivity.

As a Senior DevOps, you will be responsible for-

• Designing, developing and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines to enable automated software builds, testing, and deployments.
• Monitoring troubleshooting and enhance the performance of production systems to ensure smooth operation and minimal downtime.
• Leading efforts to improve release processes, including versioning, change management, and rollback strategies.
• Collaborating with security teams to implement and maintain security best practices throughout the CI/CD and deployment pipelines.

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will-

• Have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Have proven experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer.
• Have Good expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Have In-depth knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes, including cluster management, networking, and security.
• Be proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby for automation and task scripting.
• Have solid understanding of cloud platforms principles such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
