About The Role

The Tigo Senior Embedded Engineer serves as a key technical member of the cross-functional team with the mission to simply make sure things are working – and working well.

As the Senior Embedded Engineer you will have vast knowledge and experience in Embedded Linux systems, WW industry best practices and familiarity with C/CPP will be the main skills utilized during the job.

What You Will Be Doing

• Work with colleagues to maintain existing code-base, fix bugs, develop new features, and solve customer issues as quickly and efficiently as possible
• Develop a deep understanding of the Tigo Energy product line
• Meet team metrics for project velocity and performance
• Respond to and resolve product or service problems that customers are experiencing
• Work effectively across various communication channels: phone, email, live chat, online support systems

• Ability to be the technical lead for the CCA SW team

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5-10 years of hands-on software engineering for Linux embedded systems
• Knowledge of solar industry and technologies
• Proficient with C/C++/Linux/Shell/CMake/Yocto/Docker/Networking/Security
• Strong communication with co-workers, managers, and customers
• Successful time management skills and prioritization skills

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD

• Experience working in solar industry
• Experience with Git/CAN/Modbus/Gitlab CI/CD/Python/UML
