The team is a part of the Cloud Security Intelligence group. Together we own one of the largest Big Data environments in Israel. The group owns various Intelligence Security products that run as part of this environment. They are also responsible for innovatively developing and maintaining the platform itself.

Develop and contribute to full product life-cycle

Akamai is the world's largest and most trusted cloud security platform. We deliver 95 exabytes of data a year across billions of devices. If you've ever shopped online, downloaded music, watched a web video, or connected to work remotely, you've used Akamai's cloud delivery platform. At the heart of that platform is a set of products that provides security for the entire Akamai network.

In this role you will be-

• Designing and developing analytics products, data visualization, and data solutions
• Designing and developing data pipelines using Big Data technologies
• Analyzing and improving the performance, scalability, and stability of our products and tools
• Interacting with research, development, product management, architecture, QA, and support teams throughout the product lifecycle
• Working with cutting-edge technologies in a cloud environment

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will-

• Have a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience with object-oriented programing languages (Java/Scala/Python)
• 5+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL data storage technologies
• 3+ years of experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Trino, Kafka, etc
• 2+ years of experience in Data Lake solutions
• Have the ability to perform end-to-end POCs with cutting-edge data technologies (both open source and commercial)
