Within SolarEdge, the NextEdge group is responsible for technological innovation inside the company, seeking, among other things, new technologies for renewable energies.

The team is focusing on the next generation of innovation while working in close cooperation with the SolarEdge Innovation Lab on bringing to the market new, industry defining products based on cutting edge technology.

We are searching for an unendingly curious AI researcher to champion cutting-edge investigative endeavors. The researcher should identify and innovate new concepts to utilize data from different modalities using various AI algorithms. The researcher should detect consequential gaps, formulate comprehensive research strategies, and execute rigorous methodological and analytical steps to bridge such gaps. If necessary, the researcher should also seek to foster meaningful partnerships with industry, research centers and academic institutes.

What will you be doing:

• Innovate new concepts based on SolarEdge market and data
• Research for new AI solutions to utilize the data for such concepts
• Construct a proof of concept accordingly
• Work with R&D team to implement selected concepts
• Identify and detect consequential gaps
• Define and characterize research strategies and activities
• Reach out to industry and research institutes to plan, design and execute required experiments
  
  

Requirements:

• Ph. D in Computer Science or a related field with focus on machine learning – Must
• 4+ years of research experience in the industry – Must
• Excellent English - highly articulate and clear in both speaking and writing – Must
• 2+ years of experience in renewable energy - Advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
