About the Position

BIScience is looking for a data engineer to join our R&D team in Israel, Tel Aviv

Our data engineering team is responsible for all the data processing and infrastructure of the company. Working on a diverse and challenging environment providing data solutions to all company products under deadlines.

As a part of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for:

• Design and maintain schemas and data structures
• Develop data integration processes and ETLs
• Design and implement a business process into functional and efficient code
• Tune and optimize using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Troubleshoot data issues, validate result sets, and provide ad-hoc reports and analysis on time and with high quality.
• Implementing operational automation using scripts
• Work with AWS and cloud database as well as on premise
• Interfacing with the various R&D Groups and Customer Support teams both local and international

What skills you should have?

5 years of experience working with large SQL DWH and developing ETL processes - Hands on experience - a must

Excellent knowledge of SQL with advanced analytics data orientation- a must

Very good understanding of data and schema standards and concepts- a must

Familiarity with LINUX/UNIX scripting- a must

Previous experience as a DBA, an advantage

Python programing skills - an advantage

Experience with PostgreSQL, Vertica, or MySQL – an advantage

Working in a NoSQL databases - an advantage

Good analytical skills and original thinking

Good system level understanding of problems

Team player, incorporating with other R&D teams located in Israel and abroad

Excellent communication skills
