As a Data Platform Engineer (DBA) you’ll play a crucial role, in tackling a diverse range of technologies. Your responsibilities will include developing automation and services within our data-driven company, as well as administering our most valuable asset—the databases (MySQL, MemSQL, Snowflake, and more). We’re seeking a talented developer with a genuine passion for the world of data, SQL, and databases. Joining our team means leveraging your expertise in Python, Ansible, AWS, Jenkins, Pulumi, ElasticSearch, Graphite, Zeppelin, AirFlow, Snowflake, MySQL, MemSQL, and beyond.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with relational DBs (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, etc.)
• Proficient in development, including services, application lifecycle, CICD, backend, and object-oriented languages
• Advanced knowledge of SQL
• Experience with Linux OS
• Ability to thrive in an intensive 24x7 production environment
• A drive for continuous improvement and a big-picture perspective and adaptability to fast-paced, evolving technologies

Bonus points:

• DBA experience
• SQL tuning expertise
• Infrastructure experience (DB installations, monitoring tools, agents, scripts)
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Perl
• Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins, CI-CD)
• Experience with Docker
• Knowledge of AWS (DBs, EC2, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Kubernetes, etc.)
