About the company
ATOM develops an AI-based QA/QC platform for buildings in the early stages of construction. Our camera systems already operate on cranes and capture site data for analysis.
We need a hands-on systems engineer to improve, expand, and strengthen these systems. You will work on the complete system: cameras, sensors, power, communications, and software integration.
What you will do
- Further develop our existing camera system and integrate optics, positioning sensors, power, and communications.
- Make systems reliable in heat, rain, dust, wind, and vibration.
- Work with technical partners to develop, build, and test solutions in the lab and on cranes.
- Write basic code to control devices, collect data, and run tests.
- Improve image quality, positioning accuracy, reliability, and cost.
- Prepare systems for easier manufacturing, installation, and maintenance.
What you need
- Experience developing and integrating hardware systems that work outside the lab.
- Strong systems thinking and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of cameras and optics, including lenses, image quality, and lighting.
- Basic coding skills, preferably Python, for testing and hardware integration.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, networking, and communications.
- Understanding of environmental effects on hardware and system performance.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the complete system.
An advantage
- Experience with GNSS, RTK, IMU, robotics, or mechatronics.
- Experience with camera calibration, embedded systems, or design for manufacturing.
