About the Role

CONTROP is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our Software Department and take a significant role in developing advanced, multidisciplinary electro-optical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex software solutions using modern C++.

• Take end-to-end ownership of software features, from architecture and detailed design through implementation, testing, integration, and delivery.

• Contribute to software architecture, technical design decisions, and long-term maintainability.

• Leverage AI-powered development tools and methodologies to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and development efficiency.

• Champion modern software engineering practices, including clean code, code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.

• Take an active role in establishing high engineering standards and fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

Must-Have Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering from a recognized academic university, with a strong foundation in computer science and software engineering principles.

• At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience, including significant professional experience with C++.

• Strong proficiency in modern C++, object-oriented design, software architecture, and design patterns.

• Experience with Windows and Linux based software development

• Proven experience developing, debugging, and maintaining complex production-grade software systems.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools as an integral part of professional software development, including code generation, refactoring, debugging, test generation, or code review.

• Strong analytical skills, independent problem-solving capabilities, and sound technical judgment.

• Experience collaborating through code reviews, technical discussions, and cross-functional development.

• Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

Advantages

• Familiarity with AI coding agents, AI-enabled engineering workflows, and secure use of AI tools in software development.

• Experience developing software for real-time, embedded, or performance-critical systems.

• Experience with additional programming languages, particularly C# and Python.

• Familiarity with computer vision, image processing, video pipelines, or electro-optical systems.

• Experience in multidisciplinary R&D environments involving hardware and software integration.

• Experience with Python, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development toolchains.
