Senior Software Architect | Central Israel | 50%-60% Position

Mertens Malam Team is hiring a Senior Software Architect for a healthcare organization in Central Israel.

The role includes leading the technology architecture of new systems and core system modernization processes, defining target architecture and a roadmap for transitioning from Legacy systems to modern solutions.

Responsibilities:

Lead the technology architecture of new systems and core system modernization

Define target architecture and roadmaps for transitioning from Legacy systems to modern solutions

Design end-to-end architecture

Guide development and infrastructure teams

Work with Microservices, API, Event Driven Architecture, Cloud Native, Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AS400, and Mainframe

Evaluate alternatives and make architectural decisions across On-Prem and Hybrid environments

Establish architectural standards

Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders

Requirements:

10+ years of experience in software development and Enterprise systems architecture

5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or Senior Software Architect

Significant experience leading Legacy system modernization, including AS400, Mainframe, or enterprise core systems

Experience designing and implementing Microservices and API First architectures

Experience with Cloud environments such as Azure or AWS

Academic degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering and Management, or a similar field
