Every nation has data. Few can protect it. Fewer still can act on it.

Dream is the sovereign AI and national cyber-defense company for governments.

We help nations secure their most critical systems, connect fragmented information at a national scale, and turn their most sensitive data into decisions, all fully sovereign.

This is more than a job. It's a Dream job, where you'll work at a global scale alongside some of the best AI researchers, cyber operators, and government experts in the world.

We're building AI that nations own and control, deployed where almost no one else can operate. ingesting and structuring complex data, and driving practical actions that can literally impact the lives of billions of people around the world. This role helps make that real.

The Dream Job:

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on researcher to shape how our sovereign AI systems interpret visual information and turn it into actionable knowledge.

You’ll research and develop computer vision capabilities spanning visual understanding, OCR, image retrieval, and semantic search, as well as challenges in scene reconstruction and geolocation. This means understanding both model behavior and real-world failure modes, building capabilities that perform under security, compute, and deployment constraints.

Expect scarce data, noisy labels, and problems without an established playbook. You’ll have the autonomy to shape the approach—and the responsibility to make it work.

The Dream-Maker Responsibilities:

  • Develop computer vision capabilities across visual understanding, detection, segmentation, and OCR, adapting methods to complex real-world data.
  • Advance image retrieval, semantic search, and multimodal representations that connect visual content with language and contextual information.
  • Research scene reconstruction and geolocation methods, defining approaches and evaluation criteria for challenging visual tasks.
  • Design data mixtures and training strategies, running and debugging experiments to improve model quality, stability, and efficiency.
  • Own problem definition, data development, experimentation, and validation, testing robustness and failure modes and partnering with engineering through deployment.
  • Innovate, raise risks early, challenge ideas respectfully, collaborate on the toughest problems, and mentor fellow researchers.

The Dream Skill Set:

  • 8+ years of hands-on AI/ML experience, with substantial ownership of multiple projects from problem definition to real-world use.
  • Deep expertise in computer vision, with experience delivering production models and understanding their real-world failure modes.
  • Strong research foundations, supported by an MSc or PhD in a relevant field, or equivalent demonstrated research accomplishments.
  • Strong implementation skills: Python, PyTorch or JAX, and experience building and debugging large-scale training and evaluation pipelines.
  • Depth in one or more relevant areas: visual understanding, OCR, image retrieval, multimodal learning, scene reconstruction, or geolocation.
  • Experience with data curation, training stability, experiment logging, and ablation studies, with rigorous evaluation across varied data and operating conditions.
  • Independent ownership, comfort navigating ambiguity, and the ability to make sound trade-offs across accuracy, robustness, compute, and deployment constraints.

Never Stop Dreaming...:

If you think this role doesn't fully match your skills but are eager to grow and break glass ceilings, we’d love to hear from you!
