Geospatial Data Scientist | GIS & AI | Tel Aviv | Mertens Malam Team

Mertens Malam Team is hiring an experienced Geospatial Data Scientist specializing in GIS and Artificial Intelligence to join a government organization in Tel Aviv

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement AI and Machine Learning solutions for geospatial data analysis, workflow automation, photogrammetry, and GIS applications

Develop Computer Vision tools for quality control, image processing, anomaly detection, and advanced models and algorithms

Work with Python, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, APIs, and automation tools

Develop integrations between systems and databases, define technological solutions, and improve data management and quality control processes

Collaborate with professional stakeholders across the organization

Integrate new data sources, document processes, and implement automated workflows as part of a geographic information and land management project

Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience in data-related roles, including a minimum of 2 years in Data Science

Relevant education meeting one of the required qualification pathways, including academic education or a recognized military technology background

Experience developing with Python, working with AI tools, and building automation workflows, scripts, and integrations – advantage

Experience working with geospatial data, GIS systems, photogrammetry, image processing, and Computer Vision tools – advantage

Experience with PostgreSQL, PostGIS, QA/QC processes, API integrations, and automation tools – advantage
