About the company

Ripple is an AI company that tracks how video and image content travels across social media. Our cloud-based SaaS platform combines state-of-the-art Computer Vision and Machine Learning to find where content appears, identify it at scale, and turn it into actionable insight – helping global organizations in Media & Entertainment, Sports, and Advertising protect their content, measure its reach, and understand its impact.

Ripple was founded by serial entrepreneurs and three renowned Computer Science professors.

What we seek:

We are looking for a talented, curious, and highly motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our Full Stack R&D team. This role is designed for an early-career engineer – from a strong recent graduate to someone with up to 2 years of professional experience – who wants to grow as a software engineer while working at the forefront of how AI is changing software development. You will build and ship our product as part of the Full Stack team, and take ownership of Ripple’s AI SDLC tooling and infrastructure – the internal tools, platforms, and agentic workflows that let our engineers and AI agents build, test, review, and ship software together. You will work closely with our Tech Lead, who will mentor you as you grow.Responsibilities:

●     Develop and deliver end-to-end product features as part of Ripple’s Full Stack team, across backend services, frontend, APIs, and data.

●     Participate in the full software development lifecycle – technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.

●     Build clean, maintainable, well-tested code, and continuously improve existing systems, performance, and reliability.

●     Investigate and fix production issues together with the team.

●     Own Ripple’s AI SDLC tooling and infrastructure – build and evolve the agentic workflows and internal tools that help AI agents code, test, review, and debug alongside our engineers.

●     Connect LLMs and AI coding agents to our repositories, CI/CD, and internal services, and help measure what works (quality, reliability, adoption, cost).

●     Collaborate closely with developers, the Tech Lead, DevOps, Product, and other teams across the company.

Qualifications (Must-Have):

●     BSc in Computer Science (or equivalent), with a grade average of 80+.

●     Up to 2 years of hands-on professional software development experience – strong practical experience can compensate for the academic background (or for not having a degree).

●     Strong programming fundamentals – data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and software engineering principles.

●     Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.

●     Familiarity with backend or web application development, APIs, databases, and modern software architecture concepts.

●     Basic understanding of Git, automated testing, and modern development workflows.

●     Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot – and curiosity to keep experimenting with new AI technologies.

●     A proactive, ownership-driven approach to problem solving, and the ability to learn quickly from more experienced engineers.

●     Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Advantages:

●     Proficiency in Python (our main backend language).

●     Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend technologies.

●     Experience building backend services, REST or GraphQL APIs, and integrations with third-party services.

●     Experience with databases and data tooling – SQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or Kafka.

●     Experience with cloud platforms (particularly AWS), Docker, and Linux environments.

●     Experience with CI/CD systems and development automation.

●     Experience with LLM APIs, AI agents, tool calling, or MCP.

●     Personal projects, open-source contributions, or hands-on experimentation – especially anything you built with AI coding tools
