Lead Data Engineer
Want to take ownership of an organization’s data foundation and shape its next generation of data infrastructure?
We’re looking for a Lead Data Engineer to lead the development and evolution of our enterprise data platform, drive a gradual migration to the cloud, and manage a team of Data Engineers and DBAs.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong architectural thinking, deep experience in DWH and ETL/ELT, and the ability to lead complex engineering initiatives from strategy to production.
What will you do?
- Lead the Data Engineering function, including direct management of Data Engineers and DBAs.
- Own the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the enterprise DWH and data platform.
- Lead complex ETL/ELT processes across existing Teradata and Informatica environments.
- Manage data ingestion from complex source systems, including SAP and digital platforms.
- Lead the gradual cloud migration, including architecture decisions, engineering standards, and best practices.
- Design and evolve data architecture across Raw, Staging, DWH, and Orchestration layers.
- Drive Data Modeling, Data Quality, performance optimization, and cost efficiency.
- Work closely with BI, Analytics, and business teams to ensure the data platform supports critical business decisions.
What are we looking for?
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform roles.
- Proven experience with enterprise DWH environments such as Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, or Snowflake.
- Strong experience designing and developing complex ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experience with enterprise ETL tools such as Informatica and advanced SQL.
- Experience working with complex source systems; ERP/SAP experience is a significant advantage.
- Proven experience in team management or technical leadership.
- Strong architectural thinking and the ability to lead end-to-end engineering processes.
Advantageous experience
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake or Databricks.
- Practical experience with Cloud Migration projects.
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, or cloud-native pipelines.
