Role Overview

As an Application Engineer – Emulation and Prototyping, you will work as part of a growing team supporting customer engagements. You will be responsible for delivering technical solutions, supporting customer activities, and enabling successful deployment of Cadence emulation technologies. This is a customer-facing technical role combining hands-on engineering, problem solving, and collaboration with global Cadence teams.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Support:

• Work directly with customers to deploy and support emulation and prototyping solutions
• Assist in resolving technical issues and provide timely support
• Build strong relationships with customer engineering teams

Technical Execution:

• Contribute to emulation and acceleration flows, debug, and performance optimization
• Support benchmarks, evaluations, and proof-of-concepts (PoCs)

Solution Development:

• Help develop customer-specific solutions using Cadence tools
• Work with senior engineers and team leads on advanced engagements

Collaboration:

• Work with local team in Israel and global Cadence R&D and AE teams WW.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Background:

• 10+ years of experience in digital design or verification
• Strong RTL knowledge (SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL)
• Experience with debug and simulation flows

Preferred:

• FPGA development experience (advantage)
• Familiarity with UVM or modern verification methodologies
• Linux/Unix and scripting (Python, Tcl, etc.)

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication and customer interaction abilities
• Team-oriented mindset

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of relevant experience
