About the Role

TCS Israel is looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our growing data and cloud practice.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise-scale data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory and the Azure Data Platform. You will work closely with business stakeholders, local IT teams, and global delivery teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Build and support end-to-end data integration solutions across cloud and on-premises systems.
• Develop data ingestion processes from SQL databases, SAP systems, APIs, file-based sources, and third-party applications.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and operational efficiency of Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Deliver enhancements and change requests throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Provide L2/L3 support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and permanent resolution for production issues.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, error handling, and recovery mechanisms across data platforms.
• Build and maintain CI/CD deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git.
• Ensure data quality, security, governance, and compliance standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with business users and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and support less experienced team members.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Azure Data Engineering, Azure Data Factory, or related data integration technologies.
• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory, including pipelines, mapping data flows, datasets, triggers, linked services, and integration runtimes.
• Strong SQL and T-SQL development skills.
• Experience working with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2), Blob Storage, or Synapse Analytics.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data warehousing, and data integration best practices.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of data solutions.
• Knowledge of Azure security concepts, including Key Vault, RBAC, and Managed Identity.
• Fluent Hebrew and English communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, or PySpark.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with Azure Functions or Logic Apps.
• Power BI integration experience.
• Experience integrating SAP data with Azure-based platforms.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
• Experience working with ServiceNow, Jira, or other ITSM platforms.
• Microsoft Azure certifications, including DP-203.
