System Engineer – Algorithm Development | Ground Radar Systems

A Ground Systems facility within ELTA Systems is looking for a System Engineer specializing in Algorithm Development for advanced ground radar systems.

About the Role

The position includes:

• Defining and developing new algorithms based on internal and external customer requirements.
• Improving and optimizing existing algorithms to enhance system performance.
• Leading and actively participating in the integration and testing of algorithms within the system.
• Analyzing algorithm performance at customer sites in Israel and abroad, and implementing adjustments and improvements based on field data.
• Developing expertise in signal processing and tracking algorithms for ground radar systems, and defining improvements according to operational needs.

What We're Looking For

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Physics, with an emphasis on Signal Processing – required.
• M.Sc. – an advantage.
• At least 2 years of experience in the design and development of technological systems, with experience in System Engineering, Logic Design, or Algorithm Development for real-time systems – required.
• Hands-on experience in algorithm development – required.
• Experience with Radar/RF systems – a significant advantage.
• High proficiency in MATLAB and Python – required.
• Strong physical understanding and intuition – required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of signal processing and the ability to translate customer requirements into technological solutions.
• High-level English, including the ability to work with international customers.
