We are looking for an RT Embedded Software Development Engineer with expertise in Real-Time Embedded systems to join the Engineering & Systems Division within the Missile & Space Systems Group at Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).

The position includes:

• Developing Embedded software in C and C++ for real-time mission-critical systems

• Working directly with a wide range of processors and closely with hardware teams, including system integration and bring-up activities

• Analyzing, defining, and verifying technical requirements, as well as designing and executing unit, integration, and system-level tests

• Developing software for multiple operating environments, including Linux (Device Tree, Kernel Modules, Yocto/Buildroot) and Bare Metal systems, including boot initialization, interrupt handling, and direct resource management

• Developing and maintaining Board Support Packages (BSP) and Bootloaders

• Developing applications and software modules for mission computers across advanced defense systems

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including hardware, systems engineering, integration, and testing throughout the full product development lifecycle

What we’re looking for:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Software specialization) or Computer Science – Mandatory

• At least 5 years of experience developing software for Real-Time Embedded systems – Mandatory

• Proven experience developing applications and software modules for Real-Time Embedded systems – Mandatory

• Experience working with FreeRTOS and/or Linux – Advantage

• Experience working with Xilinx MPSoC platforms – Advantage

• Experience with a wide range of embedded processors, including ARM Cortex-A/R/M architectures – Advantage

• Experience developing device drivers, BSPs, and Bootloaders, as well as implementing communication protocols such as SPI, UART, I2C, UDP, and CAN – Advantage

• Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, accountability, commitment to quality, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
