The DSP Firmware Engineer designs, develops, tests, and maintains Physical Layer firmware components for LTE and 5G NR, including real-time control flows, hardware drivers and digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms, working closely with algorithm, hardware, and integration teams within our Israel R&D center.
What you’ll do
- Design, implement, and validate firmware modules end-to-end, from requirements through delivery.
- Implement real-time control flows, hardware drivers, and DSP algorithms for cellular baseband processing.
- Define and maintain firmware interfaces between subsystems and toward hardware.
- Maintain and enhance development, simulation, and debugging environments, including internal tools and test automation.
- Analyze processor and pipeline resource utilization to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Support system integration, bring-up, debugging, and performance optimization activities.
- Collaborate closely with algorithm, hardware, and integration teams throughout the development lifecycle.
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on experience in C/C++ firmware development, with good knowledge of real-time/embedded fundamentals: interrupts, memory management, hardware abstraction and drivers.
- Comfortable working in Unix environments (Python, shell scripting, CI/build tooling).
- Experience operating in multidisciplinary hardware/software development environments.
- Experience with cellular systems (LTE/NR) or DSP/fixed-point algorithm implementation is a strong plus.
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical/Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering.
