Senior VMware Virtualization Expert – Enterprise Infrastructure Team

We are looking for a Senior VMware Virtualization Expert to join a leading virtualization team and take ownership of large-scale, mission-critical virtualization environments.

The role includes end-to-end responsibility for VMware infrastructure at a very large scale, including tens of thousands of virtual machines and approximately 1,000 physical servers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead large-scale VMware environments in a highly complex enterprise infrastructure.

• Provide hands-on expertise with VMware vSphere, vCenter, NSX, and vRealize Automation (vRA).

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced automation workflows and operational processes.

• Lead virtualization architecture design, improvements, upgrades, and technology projects.

• Troubleshoot complex Tier 3/4 production issues.

• Work closely with Networking, Storage, Security, and DevOps teams.

• Manage Cisco UCS infrastructure, including Compute, Service Profiles, Fabric, firmware, and troubleshooting.

• Support physical server infrastructure across multiple vendors including Dell, HPE, and Lenovo.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with VMware technologies in enterprise environments - Must

• Proven experience managing large-scale VMware infrastructures (hundreds of hosts and thousands of VMs) - Must

• Strong expertise with VMware vSphere and vCenter - Must

• Advanced experience with VMware NSX, including deployment, operations, micro-segmentation, and troubleshooting - Must

• Experience with VMware vRealize Automation (vRA) and complex automation workflows - Must

• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerCLI and PowerShell - Must

• Experience managing Cisco UCS environments - Must

• Deep understanding of Compute, Networking, Storage, and virtualization architecture - Must

• Experience handling critical production environments and complex troubleshooting.

• Proven experience leading technical projects and working with cross-functional teams.

Strong Advantages:

• Experience with Python, Ansible, or Terraform.

• Experience with VMware vRO, vROps, and Log Insight.

• Experience with Hybrid Cloud environments.

• Experience designing and building virtualization environments from the ground up.

• Knowledge of DR/BCP methodologies.

• Advanced VMware certifications such as VCP, VCAP, or VCIX.
