About the Role

The TAMAM Division within the Missiles & Space Group is seeking an RT Embedded Software Engineer to join the Optronics Department.

In this role, you will develop real-time embedded software for advanced electro-optical payloads integrated into a variety of cutting-edge defense programs. You will work closely with hardware and algorithm teams, perform system integration and testing, and contribute to advanced command-and-control (C2) solutions while collaborating with customers in Israel and abroad.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop C/C++ software for Real-Time Embedded systems, including communication interfaces and Command & Control (C2) applications.
  • Develop advanced electro-optical payloads integrated into multiple multidisciplinary projects.
  • Perform hardware integration and verification for embedded systems.
  • Work closely with algorithm development teams to integrate advanced capabilities.
  • Participate in customer meetings and provide technical support, including occasional international travel.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or another Exact Sciences discipline – required.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with hardware components, communication interfaces, and communication protocols – required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in C/C++ development, hardware integration, and testing for Real-Time Embedded systems – required.
  • Experience developing software for VxWorks or Embedded Linux – required.
  • Experience working with algorithm development teams – advantage.
  • Experience developing PC-based software for Command & Control (C2) systems – advantage.
  • High level of English proficiency.
  • Willingness to travel abroad when required.
  • Strong motivation, systems thinking, teamwork skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities.
