About the Role

The Engineering & Systems Division within the Missiles & Space Group is seeking an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced electronic boards for cutting-edge defense and space systems.

This role offers the opportunity to be involved throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from requirements definition and detailed design to system integration, production support, and troubleshooting. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams developing some of the most advanced technologies in the aerospace and defense industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop electronic boards from the initial requirements definition stage through full product implementation.
  • Prepare technical specifications and design documentation.
  • Perform preliminary and detailed hardware design activities.
  • Design electronic circuits and work closely with PCB layout engineers.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Mechanical, Thermal, Reliability, FPGA, and Test Engineering teams.
  • Define, execute, and support integration and verification activities.
  • Transfer products to manufacturing and provide ongoing production support.
  • Investigate and resolve hardware-related issues and failures.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering – required.
  • At least 7 years of experience in the design and development of both digital and analog electronic boardsrequired.
  • Strong familiarity with processors, programmable devices, memory components, and hardware interfaces – significant advantage.
  • Experience with hardware-software system integration – significant advantage.
  • Knowledge of common communication protocols such as MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, SpaceWire, SPI, and UARTadvantage.
  • Hands-on experience with DDR3 and DDR4 memory interfacesadvantage.
