Electronics Hardware & Board Design Engineer

About the Role

ELTA Systems is seeking an Electronics Hardware & Board Design Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced electronic boards for cutting-edge radar, sensor, communications, and electronic warfare systems.

The role offers end-to-end ownership of complex hardware products, from initial requirements and architecture definition through detailed design, implementation, integration, and testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead product development from requirements definition and planning through implementation and testing.
  • Define product architectures and technical concepts.
  • Select electronic components based on system and product requirements.
  • Design electronic boards, including schematic design, PCB layout coordination, and complex board testing.
  • Develop FPGA logic designs, including high-speed communication interfaces, signal processing, complex control logic, ARM-based SoCs, and interfaces with DDR, ADC, DAC, DDS, and other components.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary development teams.
  • Manage and oversee subcontractors within ELTA and external organizations.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering – required.
  • Specialization in Communications, DSP, CPU architectures, or VLSI – advantage.
  • At least 3 years of experience in electronic circuit and board design – advantage.
  • At least 3 years of experience in FPGA logic design development – advantage.
