Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Automation & Control Engineer / Control Engineering Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automation, control, and electrical systems across our production facilities. This includes both continuous and discrete manufacturing processes, PLC, HMI, SCADA, PI systems, industrial communication networks, and electrical infrastructure.

The position involves leading automation projects, troubleshooting complex technical issues, upgrading existing control systems, and providing ongoing technical support to production and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, configure, and maintain PLC systems (Allen-Bradley and Siemens preferred).
  • Develop, configure, and maintain HMI and SCADA applications.
  • Work with OSIsoft PI System, including PI DataLink, AF, and PI Vision.
  • Troubleshoot complex automation, electrical, and industrial communication issues in production facilities.
  • Lead and support automation and electrical engineering projects from concept through implementation.
  • Upgrade and optimize existing control and automation systems.
  • Support both continuous process and discrete manufacturing environments.
  • Work with chemical production facilities and industrial manufacturing processes. Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, external engineers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including control logic, Cause & Effect matrices, I/O lists, and functional specifications.
  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams. Configure and maintain industrial communication networks (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
  • Integrate industrial systems including PLC, SCADA, PI, OPC, and other automation platforms.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in industrial automation and control systems.
  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or a Practical Engineering degree in Electrical/Control Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens preferred).
  • Experience with SCADA and HMI systems.
  • Experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment; experience with continuous process industries is an advantage.
  • Experience leading or participating in engineering and automation projects is an advantage.
  • Experience with OSIsoft PI System / Historian is an advantage.
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and control drawings.
  • Strong understanding of industrial processes and automation systems.
  • Experience working with low-voltage electrical and control systems.
  • Good technical English skills (reading and writing).
