We are building a high-impact team at the forefront of architectural innovation, and we're looking for a Senior Modeling Architect to be a key contributor. In this role, you'll develop functional models and simulators to explore, validate, and influence the architecture of NVIDIA's next-generation switches.
You'll work at the crossroads of hardware architecture and software, building the models that architects and design teams rely on to make decisions — shaping cutting-edge networking systems from the ground up in a fast-paced, exploratory environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop functional models and simulators of switch hardware blocks and subsystems.
- Build simulation infrastructure and toolchains for exploring and evaluating new hardware designs.
- Define modeling strategy, coverage, and methodology for new switch architectures.
- Work autonomously to define, design, and drive modeling features end to end.
- Collaborate across architecture, design, and verification teams to refine system-level behavior and define new methodologies.
- Take technical ownership and demonstrate natural leadership within the team and across groups.
What We Need To See
- BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in chip design, verification/validation, RTL simulation, firmware, or embedded software — with real, hands-on experience.
- Intimate knowledge of chip design and verification flows.
- Strong understanding of SW–HW flows and system integration across diverse technology components.
- Strong analytical thinking, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work independently and drive ideas from concept to execution.
Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd
- A background in validation or verification, looking to move closer to software and modeling — this role is a natural next step, and you'll grow your modeling and software skills as you go.
- Deep, hands-on experience with networking protocols — one of the strongest differentiators for this role.
- Experience with UVM or other verification methodologies.
- Familiarity with modern C++ and object-oriented design (a real plus, but something you can grow into here).
- Experience with SystemC, TLM, or other hardware modeling frameworks.
NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world's most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking people in the world working for us. Are you a creative and autonomous engineer who loves a challenge? Are you ready to become the engineer you always wanted to be? Come and be part of the best architecture team in the industry!
