About the Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with 4+ years of experience building modern web applications and backend services.

In this role, you will be a key member of a small, highly skilled engineering team, helping design, build, and scale Oriient’s Indoor GPS platform. You will contribute to real-time location features, large-scale data processing, backend services, and user-facing applications used by customers around the world.

This is a backend-oriented full stack role, with strong ownership over service architecture, APIs, data, performance, and scalability, while also contributing to high-quality user-facing features in React.

You will work closely with product, UX, and engineering stakeholders to translate business needs into reliable, scalable, and elegant technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend microservices using Node.js and TypeScript that power real-time indoor location experiences.
• Develop and improve web applications using React, delivering high-quality user experiences in collaboration with Product and UX.
• Own API design, service contracts, and REST/HTTP interfaces, ensuring reliability, observability, and backward compatibility.
• Model data, write efficient SQL queries, and participate in schema design, migrations, and performance optimization.
• Build scalable, production-grade systems involving concurrency, caching, message flows, and large-scale data processing.
• Take ownership of features end-to-end, from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, break down scope, and deliver iteratively.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues using monitoring, logs, and debugging tools, while driving root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes, developer tooling, and initiatives that improve engineering velocity and product quality.

Qualifications and Experience

• 4+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer or similar role.
• Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with React — must.
• Strong experience working with Node.js and TypeScript — must.
• Experience working with SQL databases — must.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, including clean code, maintainability, performance awareness, and pragmatic technical decision-making.
• Experience building backend services, APIs, and production-grade systems.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver features end-to-end.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to step outside your comfort zone to learn new technologies.
• Positive approach to people, teamwork, and collaboration.
