At amp, we’re pioneering the future of fitness by merging advanced hardware with AI, democratizing coaching through a connected ecosystem that adapts to every user.
We’re scaling a complex, real-world product where backend, cloud infrastructure, mobile releases, and e-commerce all need to ship reliably together.
We’re looking for a hands-on
DevOps Engineer to own the infrastructure behind our app backend, iOS delivery, Magento commerce platform, and production environments, across both the Software App and Software E-commerce departments.
What You’ll Do:
- Own AWS cloud infrastructure across our app and e-commerce systems, managed as code with Terraform / OpenTofu.
- Operate backend (GraphQL, Lambda, DynamoDB, Cognito, S3, ECS/Fargate) and e-commerce (Magento on AWS, EKS, RDS MySQL, Redis, OpenSearch, CloudFront, WAF, Route53) infrastructure.
- Use the latest AI tools in your daily work and build AI-driven processes to automate operations, speed up incident response, and make the whole team more productive.
- Improve mobile CI/CD: self-hosted macOS runners, Xcode, Tuist, Fastlane, signing, and TestFlight/App Store Connect.
- Build and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines for infra, backend, and Magento deployments, including rollback flows.
- Own environment strategy across dev, staging, and production, and improve observability and incident response with Datadog, CloudWatch, and Sentry.
- Harden secrets management, IAM, CI security, and deployment safety, partnering with backend, iOS, QA, and e-commerce teams to remove release friction.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps, SRE, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Strong production experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / OpenTofu).
- Strong CI/CD experience, preferably GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on with containers: Docker, ECS/Fargate, Kubernetes/EKS, Helm, or similar.
- Solid grasp of networking, IAM, VPCs, load balancers, DNS, certificates, and environment isolation.
- Experience operating production databases and data services (MySQL/RDS, DynamoDB, Redis, OpenSearch, or similar).
- Experience with blue/green deployments, rollback automation, and production release management.
- Strong scripting and automation skills, plus hands-on observability (Datadog, CloudWatch, Sentry) and a sharp debugging mindset for failed deploys, flaky pipelines, infra drift, and incidents.
Nice to Have
- Magento, e-commerce infrastructure, or PHP applications.
- iOS CI/CD: Xcode, Fastlane, Tuist, App Store Connect, or macOS runners.
- Serverless and event-driven systems (AppSync/GraphQL, Lambda), plus blue/green deployments and rollback automation.
