Own the architecture. Lead the teams. Ship the platform.
Sedric is the AI compliance platform for financial services. Our agentic AI automates oversight across customer communications and marketing — real-time guardrails on calls, pre-approval review on every marketing asset, and post-publication monitoring across partners and channels. Because every customer gets a dedicated compliance model, accuracy goes up, false positives go down, and compliance teams move faster without taking on more risk.
The mission? 3 engineering teams, ~20 engineers, 1 platform that has to work flawlessly inside the most regulated industry on earth. Right now, those teams are building hard — but without a single person accountable for the technical vision that ties it all together. That's the gap.
We're at an inflection point. Enterprise financial services clients are signing on, and they need more than a product — they need a platform. That means a unified LLM strategy, an architecture that scales, and an R&D org that moves with the same urgency as the business.
This role reports to the co-founder and is based out of our Tel Aviv offices (hybrid model).
What You’ll Do
You'll own the full R&D org — three teams, twenty engineers, all of it. That means the technical roadmap, the LLM and AI platform architecture, engineering hiring and culture, and the direct line between what we're building and why we're building it. You'll sit at the table with the co-founders and make sure R&D and business strategy are the same conversation.
- Lead all three R&D teams — own output, growth, and retention
- Define and execute the technical roadmap across the full engineering org
- Set and own the LLM model strategy — model selection, evaluation, deployment, iteration
- Design the AI platform architecture for enterprise-grade reliability, security, and scale
- Create alignment across teams: shared standards, shared context, shared velocity
- Partner directly with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into engineering priorities
- Ensure every AI output can be defended to an enterprise compliance officer — because it will be
- Own engineering hiring — build the team, set the bar, keep it high
Requirements
You’re a fit if …
You bring both the technical depth and the leadership range this role demands. Specifically:
- 10+ years in engineering, 5+ years leading multiple teams simultaneously — you know the difference between managing people and building an org
- You've made real architectural calls on LLM-based products — not just used APIs, but decided how they fit into a production system at enterprise scale
- Hands-on with the modern LLM stack: prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG, evaluation frameworks, and inference infrastructure
- Strong cloud-native background (AWS / GCP / Azure) — you've operated distributed systems in production, not just on paper
- Data pipeline native — you think in flows, volumes, and efficiency; experience with high-throughput event-driven architectures
- You've worked in fintech, regtech, or another regulated environment and understand that 'good enough' isn't a compliance strategy
- You're as comfortable in a co-founder conversation about product direction as you are in a code review
- You've built in ambiguity before and didn't wait for someone to hand you a plan
You’re probably not a fit if…
- You need a fully scoped roadmap before you can start moving — we're building the roadmap together
- You've only led one team at a time and haven't navigated the coordination overhead of multiple teams with different contexts
- Your LLM experience is theoretical or limited to side projects — this role requires production-grade decisions under enterprise SLAs
- You measure your success by headcount, meetings, or process — we measure it by what shipped
- Regulated industries feel like a constraint to you rather than a design input
- You don’t feel comfortable having conversations that raise the bar with your team members
- You don’t feel comfortable to be customer facing and deeply interfacing with the business
What Success Looks Like
Your first 90 days goals:
- Day 30 — You're across all three team architectures, cross-product dependencies, and commit flows. You know where the bodies are buried.
- Day 60 — You're shipping your first architectural decisions and coaching the team.
- Day 90 — You act as a trusted partner to the founder, Product, CS, Sales., Finance and HR. The roadmap is aligned to business strategy and the team knows what winning looks like.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary + meaningful equity. We’ll be transparent on numbers in the first conversation.
- Meaningful equity in a high-growth compliance AI company
- Direct access to leadership — no bureaucracy between you and impact
- Flexible, output-first culture — we care what you ship, not when you log on
- Work on problems that matter in an industry that’s ready to change
