Mertens Malam Team is seeking an experienced Cobol Developer to join a leading financial organization in Central Israel. This is an excellent opportunity to work on mission-critical core systems, develop new capabilities, and contribute to large-scale financial platforms in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new features and enhance existing core business systems.
• Work with Cobol, CICS, and advanced Mainframe technologies.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and troubleshooting for complex, business-critical systems.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams in an Agile development environment.
• Participate in the analysis, design, and implementation of solutions for evolving business needs.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in Mainframe Cobol development.
• Proven experience working with CICS.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex business processes and systems.
• Knowledge and experience with SQL.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Experience in the financial sector – a significant advantage.
