We are looking for a Data Science Team Lead who bridges the gap between hands-on technical excellence and people leadership. This role is designed for a leader who values high-level modeling and coding as much as mentoring and driving team impact.
In this position, you will be responsible for end-to-end ML and Generative AI applications within a complex business ecosystem, distinguishing between GenAI hype and tangible business value.
Team Structure: Direct management of 4 members (3 Data Scientists, 1 Data Engineer)
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Direct management, professional mentoring, and task prioritization for a multidisciplinary team.
- Model Lifecycle Management: End-to-end responsibility for ML models, from research and development to production deployment.
- Innovation & GenAI: Leading the Generative AI domain, identifying business opportunities, and implementing LLM-based solutions and advanced AI technologies.
- Operational Excellence: Ensuring the team works efficiently, focusing on impact rather than volume.
Requirements
- Leadership Experience: 2+ years of experience managing a Data Science team or significant technical leadership of an analytical team.
- ML Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience in developing Machine Learning models (Predictive, Classification, etc.).
- GenAI Proficiency: Deep understanding of Generative AI and LLMs, with the ability to apply them to specific business needs.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Soft Skills: System-wide vision, creative problem-solving, and the ability to navigate a dynamic, multi-interface environment.
- Financial Sector Experience: A significant advantage
