Lenovo Digital Trust Lab is seeking a
Infrastructure Developer to design and build the
tools and platforms that empower our Hybrid AI Security and Device , Infrastructure and Services research teams. This role is dedicated to enabling cutting-edge AI security research by providing scalable infrastructure, data pipelines, and automation frameworks.
You will act as a
force multiplier for researchers, developing the tooling they need to test, prototype, and validate AI security controls, while ensuring that the underlying systems are secure, reliable, and production-ready.
You will play a hands-on role in developing
services, data pipelines, and monitoring systems that protect AI/ML assets at scale. As part of the Hybrid AI Security team, you will bridge the gap between
applied research and production systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Build and maintain internal security tooling for research teams (e.g., red-teaming automation, data pipelines, etc).
- Develop scalable services and pipelines to support experimentation, prototyping, and model validation.
- Design secure data ingestion and processing flows while protecting sensitive datasets.
- Collaborate with researchers to translate prototypes into robust infrastructure components (monitoring, logging, dashboards, APIs).
- Integrate research tooling into CI/CD workflows to streamline testing and deployment.
- Evaluate and adapt emerging cloud and AI security technologies for internal use.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on software development experience (Python, Go, or similar), with a focus on backend systems, infrastructure, or internal tooling.
- Proven experience building and maintaining developer-facing tools, services, or automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of secure software engineering principles and experience working on cybersecurity-related products, tooling, or infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate closely with research teams in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including security and compute/storage services, and experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm, Ansible) and modern DevOps practices
- Hands-on experience with data engineering technologies (Kafka, Spark, Airflow), modern databases (SQL/NoSQL), and building monitoring/logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry) or internal dashboards/APIs
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and integrating them into scalable environments
- Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure, MLOps tools, or model evaluation workflows (Kubeflow, MLflow, SageMaker, Databricks), including tooling for experimentation and validation
- Experience developing tooling for security research, red-team operations, adversarial AI testing, or prior work in a research-oriented (RD) environment
