Lenovo Digital Trust Lab seeks a hands-on and innovative Senior Full Stack Developer to join our cutting-edge research team. This role will directly support our Hybrid AI initiative as well as our Device, Infrastructure, and Services security programs, focusing on advancing security, privacy, and trust through innovative research and applied AI.
You will work across disciplines and play a key role in building the next-generation AI Security platform using effective, AI-driven defenses, translating theoretical ideas into practical, real-world impact.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust AI Security Platform to protect AI/ML assets, data, and pipelines
- Own the platform architecture for the AI Security console, including front-end UI/UX, backend services, data stores, queues, and APIs managing policies, detections, cases, and responses
- Build agent communication services (REST/gRPC/WebSockets) for telemetry ingestion, policy distribution, health/status, remote actions, and versioning
- Develop a secure, configurable policy engine (per tenant, per device) and implement the AI web assistant (LLM-powered) for operator guidance, platform queries, run books, and alert explanations
- Ensure high-scale, high-throughput operation with efficient data models, caching, and indexing
- Build user, roles, and tenant management (RBAC), licensing and entitlements, audit logging, and integrations with SSO/IdPs
- Establish secure-by-design patterns, including threat modeling, least privilege, secrets management, encryption (in transit/at rest), and input validation
- Create developer productivity foundations such as CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (unit/integration/e2e), feature flags, and operational run books
- Ensure overall platform reliability, scalability, and secure integration of all components
Minimum Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of professional experience as a full stack engineer delivering production-grade cloud applications end to end
- Hands-on experience in frontend (modern SPA frameworks such as React/Angular/Vue) and backend development (TypeScript/Node.js, Python, Go, or Java), building microservices and REST/gRPC APIs
- Experience operating large-scale systems with high throughput, including caching, indexing, and processing millions of requests per day
- Practical experience integrating LLMs into web assistants or workflows (prompt design, RAG basics, guardrails, monitoring), along with strong fundamentals in networking and security (HTTP, TLS, OAuth/OIDC, API keys, secrets, least privilege)
Preferred Requirements
- Prior experience building a security product (SOC platform, EDR/EPP backend, SIEM, SOAR, DLP, or similar) and knowledge of data governance and privacy controls (e.g., redaction, pseudonymization, data retention)
- Strong cloud background (Azure/AWS/GCP), including containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or equivalent), and experience with observability, messaging/streaming, and data stores (SQL/NoSQL)
