AI Engineer @ Medāna · Remote (Israel)
Medāna is a real-world AI medicine company building the foundation layer for AI-driven healthcare. Our platform helps hospitals, insurers, and pharma organizations transform fragmented clinical data into dynamic, proactive, and AI-ready systems.
We are focused on bridging the gap between the promise of healthcare AI and its limited real-world implementation, enabling intelligent risk-based medicine through continuous learning, real-time patient analysis, and next-best-action systems.
As we scale our platform and launch new AI products, we’re looking for an AI Engineer to join our R&D team and help shape the next generation of clinical AI.
What you'll do
- Build LLM-powered agents, reasoning pipelines, and document understanding systems for production healthcare environments
- Prototype new AI products end-to-end, from architecture decisions to deployment
- Take existing agentic workflows from “works” to “works reliably at scale” through evaluation, observability, and continuous improvement
- Build and integrate AWS microservices connecting LLMs to clinical systems, internal data sources, and external APIs
- Work closely with founders, clinicians, and product teams to turn strategic ideas into shipped products
- Help define the long-term architecture of a clinical-grade intelligence layer for AI-driven medicine
What you bring
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong Python skills and ability to write clean, production-grade code
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs and agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent
- Experience with AWS, microservices architectures, and PostgreSQL
- Strong communication skills and product-oriented thinking
- A builder’s mindset, fast learner, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited to own products end-to-end
An advantage
- Frontend experience with React
- Experience in healthcare, clinical data, or regulated industries
Remote (Israel-based) with occasional on-site collaboration.
If you're excited about building AI systems that can transform real-world medicine, we’d love to hear from you.
