We’re looking for a strong Senior Data Scientist / Tech Lead to join our AI/ML Pricing team at Phoenix Financial.

In this role, you’ll lead the design, development, and production lifecycle of our pricing and risk models - from research and feature engineering to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. You’ll take hands-on ownership of the full end-to-end ML development process while shaping the technical direction of production-grade pricing engines that directly impact underwriting precision, growth, and profitability.

What you’ll do?

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end machine learning solutions for pricing and risk modeling.
• Own the full ML production lifecycle - from data pipelines and feature engineering to training, validation, packaging, deployment, and monitoring.
• Drive the technical architecture of our ML infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reproducibility, runtime efficiency, and operational excellence.
• Lead implementation of production-grade ML systems across cloud environments, working closely with DevOps within CI/CD and Git-based workflows.
• Ensure production stability, calibration integrity, and proactive monitoring of data drift, model drift, and system performance.
• Guide the team on best practices in model development, code quality, experimentation, and production readiness.
• Stay hands-on in model design, experimentation, and problem solving, while mentoring junior data scientists and collaborating closely with the broader DS team to translate complex pricing challenges into robust, scalable ML systems.

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Scientist with strong hands-on ownership of models in production environments.
• A true tech lead mindset - someone who can drive technical direction, make architectural decisions, and mentor others while remaining hands-on.
• Deep understanding of the full end-to-end ML development lifecycle, from research and experimentation to deployment and monitoring.
• Strong experience building and operating scalable ML infrastructure and pipelines in cloud environments.
• Solid engineering capabilities, including production-grade Python, CI/CD workflows, containerization, and scalable system thinking.
• Strong business orientation with the ability to connect advanced modeling work to measurable product and commercial impact.
