JLL | AI Engineering | Full-Time

Tel Aviv, Israel

About The Role

JLL is building an AI-native engineering organization, and the central AI platform team owns the foundations on which all other AI applications depend. Today, that is an MCP Gateway, a shared RAG platform, and the AI backbone powering JLL GPT. Tomorrow, it will be whatever the enterprise AI stack demands next.

You will own the global AI architecture — from platform foundations to application-layer patterns and the cross-team standards that hold them together. You will work day-to-day with engineering leads in Tel Aviv, the US, and APAC to keep the architecture coherent as the product surface moves quickly beneath it.

This is an IC role with architectural influence. You set direction through design documents and cross-team reviews, and you validate your decisions in code.

We expect engineers at this level to operate with AI tools as a primary part of their workflow. Your leverage comes from the hooks, workflows, and automations you use to think faster and ship safely.

What You'll Do

  • Own the global AI architecture — platform foundations, application-layer patterns, and the standards teams rely on across JLL.
  • Set technical direction through design documents; lead architecture reviews across central and forward-deployed engineering teams.
  • Define and evolve the AI platform layer: MCP Gateway, RAG infrastructure, agent orchestration patterns, and LLM infrastructure.
  • Work hands-on: prototype new patterns, validate architectural decisions in code, and ship when needed.
  • Partner with engineering leads across Tel Aviv, the US, and APAC to keep architecture coherent as the platform evolves.
  • Track the AI tooling and research ecosystem; feed signal back into platform direction and roadmap.

Must Have

Experience

  • Architected and shipped production AI systems at enterprise scale.
  • Deep LLM infrastructure fluency: embeddings pipelines, RAG (hybrid retrieval, reranking, chunking strategies), vector stores, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with agent frameworks and tool-use patterns (MCP, Claude Agent SDK, LangGraph, or similar).
  • Comfortable across multiple languages (Python, Node, .NET).
  • Worked with diverse data stores: relational, NoSQL, object/blob, vector, and document.
  • Infrastructure fluency (Terraform, IAM, and networking).
  • Shipped AI-assisted production code as a normal part of your engineering workflow.

Traits

  • Systems thinking — you see how components interact and design for failure modes.
  • Clear written and verbal communication in English (cross-timezone, cross-team work).
  • Opinionated but pragmatic: strong architecture instincts, willing to trade elegance for delivery.
  • Curiosity toward emerging AI capabilities with healthy skepticism.
  • Comfort with ambiguity — AI solutions are probabilistic and requirements shift fast.

Why This Role

  • JLL. A Fortune 200 company and a global leader in commercial real estate, with the stability of a $20B+ business and the resources to invest seriously in AI.
  • The team. Central AI Engineering at JLL builds the layer that all AI applications across the company run on. Architectural decisions here affect thousands of employees and dozens of product teams, and the work is visible from the CTO down.
  • The role. Greenfield and evolving — you will shape the architecture from the ground up, with global scope, high visibility, and direct partnership with strong engineers in Tel Aviv, the US, and APAC.
