Data Engineer | Tel Aviv | Full-Time | Hybrid Option After Onboarding

Mertens Malam Team is hiring a Data Engineer for a large government organization in Tel Aviv.

This is an opportunity to lead advanced data migration processes, move data repositories from On-Premise environments to GCP cloud, and work in an innovative, technology-driven data environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead migration processes and transfer data repositories from On-Premise environments to GCP cloud
• Work with GCP, BigQuery, Python, ETL/ELT, Cloud Composer, Apache Airflow, and SQL
• Develop data layers and build Data Pipelines
• Perform complex data transformations
• Optimize data processes and performance
• Document processes in an advanced and innovative work environment

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering
• Significant experience in development and implementation in a GCP environment
• Experience developing data models, writing complex queries, and performing optimization in BigQuery
• Strong proficiency in Python for developing ETL/ELT processes
• Experience working with Orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer
