Regulus is an agile defense-tech startup tackling the most complex challenges in counter-drone and uncrewed defense. With hundreds of combat-proven systems deployed by the IDF and global partners, we are now engineering the next generation of C-UxS (Counter-Uncrewed Systems). We leverage advanced electronic warfare and kinetic measures to detect and neutralize hostile threats. If you want to push technological boundaries while safeguarding Israel and our allies, join us at this pivotal stage of our growth.
This is a unique opportunity to join a company at a pivotal growth stage and help shape its products, culture, and future.
We are looking for a visionary, tech-savvy
Lead Full-Stack Engineer to act as the technical backbone of our team, driving the end-to-end design and delivery of our next-generation, AI-powered C2 platform. This is a highly influential role for a proactive problem-solver who loves to challenge the status quo, brainstorm innovative solutions, and bridge the gap between product vision and complex technical execution. If you have a passion for cutting-edge architecture and pushing system upgrades in a mission-critical environment, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the driving force behind technical ideas and system upgrades; proactively propose architecture improvements and new solutions across the entire stack.
- Define and oversee the architecture of distributed systems, ensuring seamless integration between robust backend systems (real-time data ingestion, analytics) and high-performance, user-facing frontend interfaces.
- Serve as the architecture expert who connects the platform to AI capabilities, while leveraging advanced AI development tools daily to accelerate prototyping, UI/UX design, and backend logic.
- Lead code reviews, mentor team members technically across the full stack, and work closely with product stakeholders to balance technical complexity with seamless user experience.
- Maintain a sharp technical edge by contributing directly to core implementation, complex problem-solving, and critical infrastructure
Requirements
- 7+ years of overall experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering complex, production-grade Full-Stack products end-to-end.
- 5+ years of deep, hands-on experience with JavaScript across the entire stack (Node.js for Backend and modern frameworks like React/Vue/Angular for Frontend).
- Strong background in System Architecture, encompassing distributed systems, backend ecosystems (APIs, databases, data pipelines), as well as frontend state management and performance optimization.
- Proven experience building architectures that integrate with, orchestrate, or visualize AI/ML systems and data-driven decision platforms.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI development tools (such as Claude Code or equivalent) to accelerate development, automate workflows, and drive engineering efficiency.
- problem-solver mindset with a strong passion for innovation, leading technical initiatives, and pushing for system upgrades.
- Experience with real-time or mission-critical systems – Advantage.
