Job Summary

The Red Hat EcoSystem team is looking for a motivated Student Intern to join the PenDrive project. PenDrive is a new product in the observability domain, focused on enabling system tests and Insights rule execution for disconnected OpenShift clusters. In this role, you will work as part of a small and close-knit team and be involved in the full product life cycle — from design and development to testing and integration.

As an Intern, you will contribute to hands-on engineering tasks, collaborate with multiple teams across Red Hat, and gain exposure to real-world production systems. This long-term internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in cloud-native technologies, container-based tooling, and observability, while learning how enterprise products are built, maintained, and delivered.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in the development and improvement of the PenDrive tool
  • Work on features related to data collection, scanning workflows, CLI usability and data presenting
  • Contribute to testing, debugging, and validation of system checks
  • Collaborate with engineers from Insights, QE and platform teams
  • Assist with documentation and improving developer and user experience

What Will You Bring

  • Basic experience programming in Python ( Go is an advantage)
  • Basic understanding of Linux and cloud environments
  • Interest in cloud technologies, observability, or distributed systems
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for managing the AI/ML lifecycle in production environments. (advantage)
  • Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) infrastructure (advantage)
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
  • Interest in learning and working with enterprise-scale systems
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in Israel during the whole duration of the internship and eligible to begin a full-time role in 2027 or 2028
  • Must be available for the internship from August 2026 till July 2027

Due to the limited number of internship opportunities and the high volume of applications, we may not be able to speak with every candidate. To maximize your chances of moving forward in the process, please ensure your CV clearly outlines your education, relevant projects (link to your Github account), and extracurricular activities.

Please apply for a maximum of three internship roles that best match your interests and skills.
