About the role

In the Engineering and Systems Division within the Missile and Space Systems Directorate, we are seeking an Algorithm Developer for line-of-sight estimation for advanced guidance systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detection, target tracking, and line-of-sight estimation algorithms for targets using multiple sensors (radar and electro-optical systems).
  • Perform multi-sensor and measurement data fusion.
  • Develop image-based and radar signal-based navigation capabilities.
  • Define, design, and support test scenarios, simulation tools, and validation databases, as well as proof-of-concept experiments.
  • Develop and evaluate algorithmic solutions for detection and tracking in noisy environments, and implement them using MATLAB / C++ / Python.
  • Perform end-to-end testing and support experimental trials.
  • Conduct optimization using machine learning tools.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Engineering or Exact Sciences – mandatory
  • MSc – advantage
  • Strong understanding of estimation theory, including Kalman filtering – mandatory
  • Strong background in statistics and probability – mandatory
  • High analytical skills, self-learning ability, motivation, and strong interpersonal skills – mandatory
  • Experience in sensor data fusion – significant advantage
  • Knowledge in navigation systems – advantage
