We are seeking an experienced VP of R&D to lead our research and development organization and drive high-quality, on-time delivery of our products and solutions. This role owns engineering execution end-to-end, including R&D, QA, BI, and DevOps, while building a lean, fast-paced, and highly professional engineering culture.
The VP of R&D will manage multiple R&D, QA and BI Group Managers, and will work in close partnership with Product and Analytics to achieve high velocity, technical excellence, and business impact.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
- Lead and scale multiple R&D groups through managers, ensuring alignment, clarity, and execution excellence.
- Own delivery commitments, ensuring high-quality, predictable, and timely releases.
- Define and evolve lean development processes that support speed without sacrificing quality or maintainability
- Drive engineering best practices, technical standards, and architectural consistency across teams
People Leadership & Development:
- Lead the professional development of engineering, QA, and BI leaders and teams.
- Build strong leadership layers, coaching managers and developing future leaders.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Product, Analytics, and other stakeholders to align technical execution with business priorities.
- Translate product strategy into clear technical roadmaps and execution plans.
- Act as a strategic and operational partner to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing multiple teams and managers
- Proven track record of leading R&D teams in the mobile gaming or a similar tech industry.
- Extensive experience leading large R&D organizations(+100 employees), including managers of managers.
- Experience managing Development, QA, DevOps and BI teams as first-class disciplines.
- Track record of delivering complex products in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Strong understanding of cost-aware engineering and operational excellence.
- Experience in leading R&D teams in the mobile gaming industry, an advantage.

Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on engineering background, with the ability to review code, architecture, and technical decisions.
- +10 years of Proven coding experience; hands-on experience with Node.js and/or Unity is highly preferred.
- High proficiency in software architecture, including distributed systems, scalable cloud-based solutions, and modern development practices.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, cloud platforms(AWS experience preferred), and production systems.
- Ability to balance architectural rigor with pragmatic, fast-paced delivery.
Education:
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
