The Amdocs Data & AI Platform team is seeking a Tech Expert to join us in Ra’anana, Israel. This senior individual contributor role requires deep technical leadership, broad engineering amplitude, and hands‑on expertise across modern data, cloud, and AI ecosystems.

As a Tech Expert, you will drive innovation, lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and build scalable, AI‑enhanced data products. You will influence cross‑team decisions and own complex technical initiatives end‑to‑end.

What will your job look like?

• Lead technical architecture and implementation of complex data and AI platform components.
• Drive adoption of modern engineering patterns, infrastructure, and best practices.
• Mentor engineers and elevate the team’s technical capabilities.
• Build end‑to‑end solutions combining software development, data engineering, and applied AI.
• Evaluate emerging technologies (AI frameworks, orchestration tools, data formats) and guide adoption.
• Solve advanced technical challenges and collaborate with multiple teams.
• Deliver high‑quality designs and code with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Work from the office 3 times a week.
  
  

All you need is...

• Strong Python expertise with advanced development skills.
• Architectural design experience across distributed systems and cloud platforms.
• Practical AI/ML engineering experience (LLMs, embeddings, model integration, vector stores).
• Experience with big data tools (Spark, Dask, or similar).
• Strong understanding of streaming and event‑driven systems (Kafka or alternatives).
• Proficiency in Linux, containers, and DevOps tooling.
• Experience with observability systems (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).
• Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud-native data services (DBX, EMR, Snowflake, etc.).
• Familiarity with Iceberg, Delta, or other data‑lake formats.
• Experience with Elastic, Redis, or distributed storage systems.
• Background in platform engineering or large-scale architectures.
