Role Overview:

Lead data development in a Snowflake environment, including solution architecture, development methodology and performance optimization. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, Agile delivery and responsibility for security, governance and FinOps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead development in a Snowflake-based data environment
• Design solution architecture and development standards
• Work hands-on with Snowflake, DBT, Python and Kafka
• Optimize performance in large-scale data environments
• Manage resource utilization and FinOps aspects
• Lead developers and manage Agile work plans
• Support adoption of new features, including AI capabilities
• Define and enforce RBAC and access policies for PII data
• Work with cloud, DBA and networking teams

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, including at least 3 years of significant Snowflake experience
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, Python and Kafka
• Experience with performance tuning in data-intensive environments
• Experience implementing RBAC and access controls for PII data
• Experience leading development in Agile methodology
