Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and execution of the company’s data roadmap – from annual planning through to driving the transformation from raw-data querying to a mature, governed modeling layer (aggregated tables, semantic models) adopted across all analytics teams and game studios.
• Identify and implement AI-driven solutions across data workflows — from automated pipeline generation and intelligent data quality checks to AI-assisted analytics — positioning the organization at the forefront of how modern data teams operate.
• Design and oversee the architecture of scalable data pipelines, modern ETL/ELT processes, and the broader data stack (AWS S3, Glue, Redshift) with a forward-looking approach to scalability.
• Partner with management, product owners, and game studios to translate business vision into actionable data insights, KPIs, and strategic growth drivers.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing BI and data engineering team. Establish development standards, champion data literacy and self-service analytics, and foster a culture where every team works from governed datasets – not raw tables.
• Define and implement data governance and monitoring protocols to ensure data integrity, availability, and system reliability.
  
  

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in BI Development or Data Engineering, with at least 2 years leading or managing a team in a large-scale environment. Strong proficiency in end-to-end data modeling and designing complex DWH architectures from scratch.
• Extensive experience designing and developing complex ETL/ELT workflows using modern tools (DBT – required).
• Expert-level SQL skills with the ability to optimize complex queries and mentor others in performance tuning.
• Proficient in Python for data manipulation and automation (e.g., Pandas, PySpark).
• Deep familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI, with a focus on storytelling through data.
• B.Sc. in Industrial/Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong change-management and communication skills – able to drive adoption of new data practices across teams, and bridge the gap between technical and business stakeholders. Confident using AI tools to streamline workflows.
  
  

Advantages

• Experience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow or Luigi in a production environment.
• Hands-on experience migrating legacy systems to modern cloud data warehouses (Redshift/Snowflake/BigQuery).
• Experience leading BI or data initiatives in the gaming industry, including familiarity with retention models, monetization funnels, LiveOps metrics, and player segmentation.
• Track record of building and rolling out a semantic/aggregation layer that replaced ad-hoc raw-data querying at a previous organization.
