A leading and innovative company in the field of cyber threat intelligence is looking for an experienced Engineering Group Leader to join the executive team and lead the technological development efforts. The role includes managing and building both backend engineering and operations teams, overseeing architecture and product development, recruiting engineers, defining development processes and technology standards, and driving a tech strategy that supports the company's growth and business goals. In this group, the teams are responsible for processes involving high loads of data and include operational resilience and research. The challenge is kept between performance and cloud costs.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage engineering and operations teams, including team leads and senior engineers.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineers and engineering leaders, fostering a strong growth-oriented culture.
  • Grow the group with more developers and teams while maintaining delivery velocity
  • Own the end-to-end domain: from building scalable infrastructure to ensuring continuous, reliable ingestion of intelligence data from different sources of data into the company's data lake.
  • Drive technical excellence, best practices, and high engineering standards across the group. Design systems that balance performance, cost, resilience, and adaptability in high-volume environments.
  • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve development processes (Agile/Scrum).
  • Play an active role in hiring, onboarding, and retaining top engineering talent.


Requirements:

  • 6+ years of hands-on software development experience.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience managing engineering teams or multiple teams.
  • Experience with building teams - recruitments, mentorships, and building personal plans for the people.
  • Proven experience delivering complex SaaS or large-scale distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, cloud infrastructure, databases, security, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and leading teams in fast-paced, high-growth settings.
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical involvement with people management and execution.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with product, operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.


Additional Skills:

  • Experience in cybersecurity, data scraping, threat intelligence, or security-focused SaaS products.
  • Background working in startup or scale-up environments.
  • Experience leading teams responsible for high-scale, high-availability systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
