Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience with file systems and Linux kernel internals.
  • Experience with AI/ML workloads.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, Cloud Computing Platform).

As a part of the Storage AI/ML organization, you will build the AI/ML specialized storage infrastructure that supports Google Cloud’s most significant business priorities. You will focus on developing high-scale systems designed to meet the emerging requirements of AI and Machine Learning workloads.

As part of a new incubation in Tel Aviv, this team serves as a specialized unit dedicated to exploring and developing new solutions within the AI/ML storage infrastructure and ecosystem. Your goal is to bridge foundational storage technologies like GCS, Rapid and Lustre with emerging AI/ML workload needs, operating as a small, focused team to establish technical excellence and provide high value for this critical business pillar.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Responsibilities

  • Write and test product or system development code.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
